He Has Your Back

For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. ~ Deuteronomy 20:4 KJV

The good thing about a friend is knowing that in any situation that friend has your back. A person that claims to be a friend that is not willing to help in times of trouble is not a friend. They could actually be called pallbearers, because anyone who is not lifting you up is probably secretly tearing you down. And there is no worse hurt than thinking someone is with you when they’re actually not.

…..trouble is easy to get in, but hard to get out…..

My mother used to always tell me this. I thought she was trying to run my life and keep me from having fun, but I found later that she actually wanted what was best for me and did not want me to fail. She knew that if I got into something, she would be the one left with the burden of coming to my rescue. In essence, SHE HAD MY BACK.

Who You With!

So who do you spend much of your time with? A spouse, a friend, coworkers? Whoever that person is you need to be assured that they are with you 100% even when they’re not in your presence. Anyone that’s not, is bad company. You’ll look around when you’re in need and your “bad company” will be nowhere to be found. Some people have your back alright, WAY BACK.

A Faithful Father

In the Bible, the children of Israel were God’s chosen people. God provided for them while in the wilderness and watched over them day and night as they journeyed to the promised land. Although Israel were rebellious people, God’s hand was still with them. He did not forsake them because of their evil.

God had given Israel specific instructions as to how they should live. He wanted them to understand that they were not to serve other gods as the heathens served. If Israel would serve God wholeheartedly, He would be their protection against all of their enemies. Israel wouldn’t even have to fight in the battles, God would fight the battles for them and save them from harm.

My friends, He is the same God today! He will protect you from all hurt and harm. He will provide for you in times of famine. He will save you from destruction.

He has your back!
