Biography

Rev. Mark A. Neal was born on June 19, 1975, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi to Ms. Pauline Neal and Mr. Wise Fulgham. It was at a tender age when he expressed his love for music and recognized his vocal talent while singing in the youth choir of Tabernacle C.M.E. Church.

Rev. Neal is the oldest of 5 siblings, has 5 children, and 7 grandchildren. He met the love of his life and best friend Christine Frazier in 1995 and joined in Holy Matrimony on April 1, 2000.

Rev. Neal served New Pisgah M.B. Church as a Deacon for 13 years, under the leadership of Rev. J.C. Weathersby before accepting his call into the ministry in July of 2015, preaching his first sermon on August 9th of the same year. Rev. Neal was ordained into the Gospel Ministry on August 6, 2016.

On January 26, 2020 Rev. Neal was installed as Pastor of his home church (New Pisgah M.B. Church) of which he has been a member since the age of 25.

Rev. Neal believes in preaching and teaching the word of God, and just as importantly he believes that we must “live” the word. He shares the testimony of a prayer life based on faith in God’s promises to those who may lack therein.

Most of all, Rev. Neal is a born again believer who seeks to please the Lord. In a world full of darkness he strives to be a light that will draw both men and women to Christ. God continues to bless him as a preacher and teacher as he carries the Word in his church and among others.

The cherished memories of his great-grandmother, Rosie L. Sanders, and dearly departed mother, Pauline N. Coleman, also knowing that if we remain faithful, one day we will all receive the crown of life, are what motivates him to continue on in his ministry.

To all of this, Rev. Neal gives God all of the glory!
